SAMSUNG's Four Seasons of Hope is planning another Grand Slam in giving this year for Joe Torre's Safe at Home Foundation.

Yankee skipper Joe Torre and Samsung's Four Seasons of Hope are rooting for the home team this baseball season. For every home run hit by Joe Torre's team at Yankee Stadium, Samsung will donate $1,000 to the Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation. Over the past several seasons, these Home Runs have raised more than $240,000, and we're hoping for lots of home runs this year by the Home Team.

Joe Torre, himself a survivor of domestic violence, knows all too well the challenges and struggles individuals face as a result of witnessing abuse. It was as a reulst of his own personal experience and with a true commitment to offering aid to others in their efforts to seek a life of peace, that together with his family, he established the Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation in 2002.

A national and worldwide crisis, which affects tens of thousands of women, men and children each and everyday, domestic violence injures more women than any other health crisis in America today. More than car crashes, more than rape and more than street crime combined, domestic violence is a critical social problem that is expanding in its impact. Moreover, within the United States alone, one out of every four American women will experience violence at the hands of an intimate partner sometime during her lifetime.
